First Day of School

The Voth boys both celebrated first days today.

The day finally arrived for Mason to start Kindergarten. After a one-on-one meeting with his teacher and a school open house, Mason was ready to start in Mrs. Lewis' Kindergarten class, even though his Mom may not be ready yet.

Mason starts his day in the School Age room at Anna's Bananas and boards the bus with Miss Katie to head to school. We had him jump right in on the first day and ride the bus. We met him at school and he proudly walked us to his classroom, with his school strut in all. After helping him get his backpack unpacked, we said our goodbyes and left an excited Mason at his table for him to wait for class to start.

At the end of the day, he rode the bus back to Anna's Bananas, without his backpack and second shirt I sent him to school with, but he made it back to the bus with no issues and proud to be a Kindergartner, so that is all I could have asked for on his first day.

We also had our first homework assignment where we got to create a Mason poster with pictures and Mason got to decorate to hang up in his classroom.

He said he had a good first day and was excited for Day 2. I hope he keeps this enthusiasm throughout the year.

Cooper had his first day with Miss Lisa in the Tator room. Unfortunately, he did not have as great of a first day as Mason given his teething and bad cold, but I know he is going to love being with his new toddler friends and teachers once he has recovered.
