Tiger T-Ball - Team Snails

After years of watching Mason, it was finally Cooper's turn to play a sport and was SO excited to play t-ball this summer.  Despite some instances of silliness, playing with dirt or not paying attention, he did a great job and had a lot of fun.  He even got to be on a team with his Anna's best friend, Logan.  He was most excited on the last night of t-ball to get his first trophy.  He is ready for t-ball again next summer, but more excited right now to play soccer in the fall.

2nd Grade Baseball - Team Rays

Mason headed back to the ball field this summer for baseball on Team Rays.  The Rays got off to a rough start this season, but came together in the end.  They even seeded 3rd in pool play and made it to bracket play.  It was sad when it was over, but Mason had a great season and we are looking forward to next year!

Happy 4th of July 2013

The Wadley crew headed out to the Target Field for an afternoon Twins game, Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Frank were also too.  Despite the heat, we all had a great time.  After the game the boys had fun on the slip n slide and a bbq with Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Frank.  We finished the day as our family of four at fireworks in Apple Valley.  What a fun day!

Wadley Milestones

With multiple milestones to celebrate, it was time for a party.  We celebrated Grandma Gerayln's 60th Birthday and Grandma Geralyn's and Grandpa Mike's 35th Wedding Anniversary at Emily and Erik's with family and Grandma and Grandpa's friends.

The Voth family headed to Arkansaw, WI for the annual Pepin County Dairy Breakfast, hosted by Corey's cousin's (Erika and her husband Dusty) family farm.  The boys had a great time between the ice cream, cheese curds, bouncy house, ambulance/fire truck, kids tractor ride, animals, big tractors and face painting.

MATs

Similar to Mason at this age, Cooper has been participating in a Movement and Tumbling (MAT) class at Anna's.  He gets so excited everything Thursday for tumbling with Ms. Kathy.   We are officially on summer break from MATs, but he is looking forward to more tumbling in the fall.

Meadowview Track Meet 2013

In a variation to a traditional field day, Meadowview has an annual track meet.  Second graders, similar to first graders, had three (3) events - 50 meters, 100 meters and 400 meter races.  Mason's stats were as follows:  50 meters - 3.47 seconds, 100 meters - 11.29 seconds, 400 meters - 57.53 seconds.

2nd Grade Talent Show

Mason had a hard time deciding on a talent for the 2nd Grade Talent Show.  He was not interested in any of the suggested talent options.  Then it dawned on all of us...cap stacking.  Yes, cup stacking.  A teacher at Anna's had brought in a cup stacking set that Mason had tried and it all went from there.  He even practiced at home and elsewhere with plastic cups.  In preparation for the talent show, we bought Mason is very own "professional" cup stacking set, complete with a special mat and timer.  Parents were not invited to the talent show, but below is our video of some of his practice rounds.  He had such a positive response from other kids that he was even allowed to bring the cups back the following day to share with his friends.  Needless to say, he thought he was a pretty big deal.

Memorial Day Weekend 2013

We made a short trip to the cabin for a chilly Memorial Day weekend to celebrate Grandma Geralyn's 60th Brithday.  Despite the colder weather, we still managed to have fun boating, driving Coop's remote control boat, fishing (despite the minute that Coop got a hook stuck in the back of his head), bonfire, smores and family.

Happy Mother's Day 2013

It was the year of necklaces for Mother's Day.  Not only did I get a long coveted initial necklace, but each of the boys made me a necklace at school along with other goodies.  This mama happily wore all three necklaces to Mother's Day brunch.  Thanks to all my boys for a special day!
